The 4-m aperture Advanced Technology Solar Telescope (ATST) is the next generation ground based solar telescope. In this paper we provide an overview of the ATST post-focus instrumentation. The new m high resolution telescope will be build up on the reused solar tower of the German 45 cm Gregory Coude Telescope at the Teide Observatory, Izana, Tenerife. The new telescope is a Gregory type with open telescope structure, alt-azimuth mount, complete retractable dome, and a pool of well established and new developed post focus instruments. The New Vacuum Solar Telescope (NVST) is a one meter vacuum solar telescope that aims to observe fine structures on the Sun. The main goals of NVST are high resolution imaging and spectral observations, including measurements of the solar magnetic by:

Abstract. For high resolution spectral observations of the Sun – particularly its chromosphere, we have developed a dual-band echelle spectrograph named Fast Imaging Solar Spectrograph (FISS), and installed it in a vertical optical table in the Coudé Lab of the meter New Solar Telescope at Big Bear Solar by:   David N Burrows is Professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the Pennsylvania State University, and lead scientist for the X-ray Telescope on NASA's Swift satellite. His research interests include X-ray instrumentation, gamma-ray burst afterglows and supernova remnants. In this paper, we describe its mechanical and optical design, the polishing and testing of the optics and the instrumentation in use or planned for this telescope.
